Problem (on 8.5.3) when openin via webclient a mail with a pdf attachments

Did you ever find a solution for this? We experience the same problem. Cannot open mail with attachment in NotesWeb (error encountered while retrieving data: invalid character), but can open same mail in Notes Client. If the original sender of the mail "forwards with attachment" then the mail can be opened in NotesWeb.

We are using English version of server, client, browser, etc. so no special language characters are involved.
